Welcome to the first blog post of the year!

The first month of the year has come and gone in a flash, and it's been a great month for Hotham's.

HullBID Awards 2023

Before we went off on our jolly Christmas break, we were shortlisted for a HullBID award. The event took place on Friday 27th January, and we had such a good evening! To make it even better, we ended up winning the Entrepreneurial Spirit award!

We had some stiff competition this year - Nanouk and Hearth Restaurant & Bakery - so we were very pleased with this result. A massive thank you to the HullBID team for putting on such a wonderful evening and congratulations to all who were shortlisted. We're going to need a bigger awards shelf!

The first Gin and Rum Schools of 2023

Our first Gin and Rum Schools of the year were fully booked! It's always such a lovely atmosphere at when the distillery is full of our lovely gin and rum enthusiasts.

We've seen some interesting recipes come from our guests this past month, with the most popular botanicals being coconut, kaffir lime leaf, bee pollen and vanilla.

Here are a couple of our recent graduates, as well as a customer testimonial.

Digital & Create Apprentice of the Year Award

Some of you may know, we have had a new addition to the Hotham's team since March last year, Chloe. If you have been to visit us at a Gin or Rum School this past year, you have most likely been greeted by Chloe when you arrived.

Chloe has been nominated for the 'Apprentice of the Year' award by Hull College.

In preparation for the event, Chloe and Simon had a film crew in the distillery for an interview, which will be showcased at the awards evening.
